Times change. Styles change. Trends emerge. Brands update their identities. I wrote this piece on my main blog about major brands that have done just that.
The most dominant trend in recent years has been toward minimalism and simplification. Flattening dimensional effects is one approach that has been used to portray a cleaner modern look.
More recently, a linear style has become popular. I thought it might be fun to convert this logo I did for a law firm (they selected an alternate design). The original colour version is below. This creation of a face using the scales of justice is still a favourite of mine.
